Emilia joined Bixal as a UX Designer after working for 5 years in nonprofits and international organizations. She spent 3 years working in government relations at the ONE Campaign, lobbying Congress on legislation to help end extreme poverty and protect the U.S. foreign aid budget. After that she wrote proposals for USAID contracts on the business development team at Souktel. During her time there she become interested in creating more accessible government services. She decided to become a UX designer and completed General Assembly’s full time Immersive program in 2019.
Traditionally, UX strategy and content strategy have been disparate disciplines with separate processes, tools and deliverables during digital project discovery and development. But working together, UXers and content strategists can coalesce around research methodologies to create a collaborative and fruitful dynamic that is inclusive of all groups, including the client, stakeholders and customers.
